The Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce is the official partner of the WW Fireworks Committee. Please help us make this the best Independence Day Washington-Wilkes has ever seen!
Located on the northwest corner of our town square, the Chamber of Commerce office is open Monday - Friday from 10am to 4pm. We are a leader in Washington-Wilkes that works with businesses and organizations for the betterment of the community. We are a non-profit organization that functions solely on memberships and our two annual fundraisers. We give back to the community through functions like Mule Day: A Southern Heritage Festival, Miss Wilkes County Pageant, Legislative Breakfast, and 4th of July Independence Day Celebration.
Time is drawing near for our much loved and anticipated Independence Day fireworks celebration. On July 3rd we come together to celebrate our nation's independence. It is simply amazing how this one event continues to bring together people from all of Wilkes County. Our fireworks show has become a regional event welcoming neighboring counties to the heart of our community. The sense of community pride and feeling of "hometown" is never more evident than when we're standing shoulder to shoulder with over 5,000 friends and neighbors feeling like kids again. That is what our annual Independence Day fireworks celebration does for Washington-Wilkes.
Another reason for this feeling of community pride is because we always come together to cover the cost of the celebration. The fireworks celebration costs many thousands of dollars. Your tax-deductible donation will assure that this much anticipated event continues to entertain our locals and attract new ones. There's no better way to show off our community to families and businesses looking to relocate.
Please help us in any way that you can -- every little bit helps! Donations can also be dropped off at the Visitor's Center on the Square or mailed to: WWFireworks, PO Box 661, Washington, Georgia 30673
